A black car and an engine bay
It's a black MkIII GTI with a bunch of exterior mods. I knew this car was pretty bad beforehand, but it was a long fight that will go unfinished. I finished about 3/4 of the car in about 2 days. Still got the whole passenger side to go.
STUFF
Wash&dry
CG CWG
Two bucket method
Zymol sponges
ONR + MF towels - garaged the car for a day then washed it before claying
DI waffle weave drying towel
Swissvax detail brush
Clay
Zymol clay - this thing is really easy to mold. i've got to get some more
ONR clay lube
CG waffle weave drying towel
Isopropyl alcohol wipe down afterwards
Paint correction
Makita 9227c
3M backing plate
Meg's 105 + DD uber orange - 2-4 passes
Meg's 205 + 3M US black pad
3M UK 80mm pads
Wheels and tires
DD spoke brush - replacing my EZ detail forever
P21S wheel gel
Swissvax Pneu
Tire brush
Swissvax wheel brush
MG SGS
LSP
Optimum spray wax
I will finish it up another time, and put better LSP on it too. I just wanted to keep the car protected for now. I hope it doesn't come back in this horrible of a condition.
I washed the car a couple days prior to starting all the major stuff, so I didn't take pictures because it was gonna get dark fast. It was pretty dirty, but nothing out of the ordinary.
Couple swipes of the hood and the contamination is already heavy
And some more panels D:
:shakehead:
WTF IS THIS? I couldn't get it off even with a couple passes of M105.
Stuff that was out of my league
Progress :afro:
Do not be fooled by the specs of dust. They aren't actually dust. Those are rock chips from going TOO FAST AND FURIOUS.
Door was terribad
Don't worry, I come from detailing heaven to save thee.
Back to werk after some shens.
This was the side that I actually didn't get to yet.
This is what my friend was pointing at. The whole car was covered in that stuff.
Roof is polished though
And the good side.
Stickers make your car go faster!
And so does a shiny hood!
SHINY
AHH MY EYEBALLS
Swissvax pneu lookin bad ass
I didn't do the engine bay for this car because it has a lot of funny wiring to it, but here's one for you!
hood off
damages
No hood ftw!
c&c are always welcome
