Smile 12 hrs on my Jet Black E90 with great results! (SIP/106FF/FMJ/Purple Haze)

Took advantage of a long holiday weekend and spent a lot of quality time detailing my exterior! Even though I've been doing my own cars since high school, there's a still a big learning curve. It's nice that this forum offers great resources and knowledgeable members who detail professionally. There's so many products out there you could go nuts with and try...detailing is so much fun!

I tried some new products/techniques for the first time. (Menzerna SIP, and 106FF)
Previously I used Menzerna IP, and FPII, and was very unhappy with results.
Next time I would like to try Menzerna 85RD!

I noticed the usual light swirls, with a few RIDS from weekly washing and drying. Overall the car was in decent shape, but I could tell the FMJ completely wore off, even with using a QD between washes. I usually do a full detail twice a year. (Early Spring, and Late Fall)

Daily Driver: 08 JB E90, 13,000 miles
Only hand washed weekly with 1Z Einszett Perls Shampoo, grit guard, and Lake County Ulti-Mit / The Uber Premium Boar's Hair Wash Brush. (Seperate bucket for wheels)

CAR WASH-
Meguiar's Gold Class Shampoo (normally my wheel shampoo)
Lake County Ulti-Mit
Grit Gaurd
Stoner Tarminator, and yellow safe scrub sponge (for bugs)
Big Blue Waffle Weave Drying Towel

WHEEL/TIRE WASH-
BLACKFIRE Wheel/Tire Cleaner
EZ Detail Brush
Microfiber mit for spokes

CLAY/LUBE-
BLACKFIRE PolyClay II
BLACKFIRE Detailing Clay Bar Lubricant

POLISHING-
PC 7424
Menzerna SIP (2 Orange LC CCS Pad) Isa 50/50 wipedown
Menzerna 106FF (2 Black LC CCS Pad) Isa 50/50 wipedown
Lots of MF towels

LSP-
Menzerna FMJ (Red LC CCS Pad) 24 hrs cure time
Dodo Juice Purple Haze (By hand)

EXTERIOR TRIM-

303 (Rubber)
Wenol (Exhaust)
Blackfire One Step Plastic Cleaner, Polish & Glaze (head/taillights)

WHEEL/TIRE PROTECTION-

BLACKFIRE Tire Gel
Wheel Wax

GLASS-
Stoner Invisible Glass

I'm very pleased with how well Menzerna SIP worked. 106FF goes and goes forever...you can easily break it down for more then 5 minutes per section. The ISA 50/50 wipe down seemed to help the process this time. Last time I just moved from one step to the next. FMJ gives you a laser like shine, not deep, but very blinding bright in the sun light. In the morning, after FMJ cures, I'll apply the Purple Haze by hand. I'm excited to see how it looks afterward!

BEFORE

AFTER(only SIP at this point)

Final Shots(only FMJ at this point)

Good job on the detail but -1 for putting replicas on your car.

Thanks.
If by replica you mean HRE P40, I can somewhat see your point. These are low pressure cast wheels made by VMR. The centers of the P40's is much different. Some don't have the means to put $5000+ forged wheels on a daily driver...
