Car got keyed really bad!! Help please!

Hi all, I am a new member here and a car detailing enthusiast but I am new to the scene and still learning. I recently got some terrible key scratches on my car that are both very large and deep and I was wondering if you guys could share your expertise and give me any advice on how I should go about fixing it. Attached are pictures of the scratches on the car. It is definitely deep enough to where I can feel them with my fingernails and in some spots, the original paint has already chipped off.

I was thinking about possibly trying to first fill the scratches with touch up, wetsanding, and then polishing them out, but I'm not really sure on what wetsanding consists of as I've never done that before. I plan on purchasing this polishing starter kit from detailer's domain:

So what do you guys think? Thanks in advance!

what did you do and what is her name?

all jokes aside, by the way you have described it i would recommend taking it to a body shop and see what they recommend.

That pisses me off just looking at it! Very sorry this happened.

You're right, it looks as though some of the areas are pretty deep, especially where the paint is chipped on the boot lid. I had some luck polishing out a key scratch with a PC and Menzerna polishes (SIP followed by PO85RD), but it still isn't 100% perfect. I've seen some work done with touch up paint followed by polish online and the before and after pictures looked great. I will try and see if I can find those.

Here's one of the links that I was talking about:

I can tell by having colorsanded myself that much of that can be taken out, but not all. Go see your body guy.

Those scratches look to be through the clear coat. It will need to be repainted by a pro.

And after the fact question.

Would a full clearbra wrap in this situation:

1. Give the perp a false sense of accomplishment by allowing scratches on the bra.

2. Protect the paint underneath after the perp is satisfied with his handiwork?
