Doubt movie collection value will persist. So it is just an average restomod.

If it WS worth it to him, hope he enjoys it. If he bought it as an investment...

Everything means something different to others. 1 mill to the buyer might be like 1k to others.

On the question on the price and if it's worth it, one point to consider is that it was an open auction so price was determined by competition rather than say a private treaty. So there might just be a few people willing to pay so much.

Yes, it takes at least two people willing to pay the price to get a car at auction.
