Room for a Pony in the garage
I finally cleaned up the garage to house our 1965 convertible.
This was my mother-in-laws first car. She bought it in Minnesota brand new. When she moved to California in the 70’s she brought it along. She used it as a daily driver until the 80’s when it started to sit. She kept it at their beach house near San Diego and it started to rust.
Finally in ’99 I towed to car to northern California and started a restoration. The intent was to get the car ready for our wedding in August 2000. I quickly ran out of time and turned the car over to Mustang Ranch.
They brought the car back to life in time for our wedding.
We gave the fully restored car back to my mother-in-law at our rehearsal dinner as a gift for throwing us the most amazing wedding. Luckily she gave the keys right back to us. We have had the car for the last 9 years.
