To be honest not much faster if you are running street tires. In a drag run its about how well you get out that hole. HP plays a role but without traction your not going to go faster in the 1/4. In a standing mile run HP plays a huge role! To be faster you need to figure out how to get your car to hook. There are many Vipers that make well over 1,000HP and can't get pass 10s. If you run slicks than you can go faster. But if you have a street car who cares, you'll blow people by on the freeway.

 

waiting for the new BFG drag radial...won't be running street tires when i go to the strip. Also with Tom's programming, I'm told that my car should be much faster than 10's. We shall see...

 

Good luck to you. Just get the suspension tuned and sticky tires and you should be good to go.
