If your wedding is after 6PM, I suggest black tie. It is a once in a lifetime even after all. You'll probably get more value out of a bespoke suit though since it's not too often that one wears black tie in today's society.

+ grosgrain lapels, faille bow-tie (that isn't pre-tied), BLACK cummerbund or formal waistcoat (not the same as a suit's), and a turndown-collar (save the wingtip for white tie).
