Cowboy boots w/ Suit
#11
Okay, okay. I get the drift; not for Philly.
I know I can pull it off. I will save them for a different time when I want to be the Connecticut cowboy(?).
Option two, before I go to black dress shoes, is a pair of square toe Mark Nason, like the right picture below.
Thanks.

No GF, yet!! Working on it. Girls view males as commodities too, I have not seen anything rare lately.
Hickey Freeman suit; dark gray w/ chalk strip, pants not cuffed, white shirt, undecided on tie.
This advice was already at the top of my list. It is the small details I am working on now.
I am looking to diversify a bit from knowledge and power to hit this new crowd.
Thanks again for your help, guys.

I would say no on both types of boots. Just doesn't work for a formal event.
If you want to standout in a good way, make sure your suit and shirt are tailored properly. This will set you apart from a lot of people. Next, choose a slightly distinctive suit. I'm not talking Jim Carrey from the Mask
distinctive, but much more subtle. For example, you are going with a dark gray with chalk stripe. This is nice but there will be many there with a similar look. Even just switching to a black suit with more distinctive pinstripes would set you a part. Also, don't be afraid of colored or striped shirt.

And don't forget a cool watch.

Badd ass! Honestly I wish I could wear a suit on a daily basis, to the supermarket, to the mall, EVERYWHERE. I wish it was like the old days where everyone was dressed up with suspenders, vest and a hat! Id love to go back in time and live like that for just a bit.

John,
Ditch the boots idea mang....its Philly....and although i am prally just as hillbillie as they come in our area/crew, even i wouldnt attempt that.
Id stick with what works - pimp suit - nice shirt & tie - basic shoes. You dont want to be the "shoes guy" all night do you???
So what event is this? A Fox School thing?
