Porsche Readying V-8 Cayenne S Diesel
Porsche's diesel SUV gets 2 more cylinders, US customers don't get to share in the torquey fun.
According to the folks at Car & Driver, Porsche is getting ready to produce another Diesel variant of the Cayenne, this time based on the "S", that will feature a V-8 engine with an output that should "far exceed" the Cayenne Diesel's 3.0-liter V6 that develops 245 PS (180 kW / 242 bhp) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque. North American buyer's don't get your hopes up as this is expected to be offered exclusively in Europe. Rumors suggest one possible engine candidate to be used is Audi's 4.2-liter TDI which produces 350 PS (258 kW / 345 hp) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque.
As Always stay tuned for more! Thanks to Worldcarfans for the Tip!

I hope this is true. I have the V6 Diesel Cayenne as my daily driver and it's brilliant. However a V8 would be very welcome...
Just put my money down on a Macan too - though there's a big caveat depending on final looks and engine/performance options though. Needs to be fun to drive each day, look good and be able to tow my classic 911!

Unless you have a place to spend your vacations in Europe you'll have to move to get one of these ....and I guess they won't be THAT great. Europe only unfortunately :/
