We received quite a few inquiries and there is still some misconception of Satin Guard and matte vinyl. There is actually a very noticeable difference in protective capabilities and also the way it looks. Satin Guard is a translucent paint protection film, which means the color of the vehicle still shows through while vinyl will cover up the original paint color completely. Another major difference between Satin Guard and vinyl is in its thickness. Satin Guard is approximately 3-4 times thicker than vinyl.
