Cayenne Turbo - Loves oil?

Cayenne Turbo - Loves oil?
Hi -
I have 7500 miles now on my CTT. Still loving it every day!
Question is - about every four to six weeks, the Engine Oil message comes up and the oil level has reached its minimum. Why?
I typically add a quart and a half of oil and the engine oil level always reaches "Maximum Fill Level."
I have never had a car use this much oil? Is this normal, or is it a problem?
Your insight and help is appreciated. I wanted to inquire if others out there are experiencing the same thing. Is it "normal" to always have to put oil in your CTT?
Thanks,
asg

Mine is a 2005 with 82k miles. That thing loves oil like a fat kid loves cake. It never seems to have any obvious leaks, so I'm assuming it's just working its way out the exhaust from the engine or the turbos. My tech recommended going from a 40-weight to a 50-weight oil, as it's a little thicker.
The general Porsche rule of thumb is one quart per 600 miles (or 1 Liter per 1,000 km) is considered normal oil consumption. The CTT probably pushes that a bit.
Just another reason my wife has lovingly referred to every Porsche I've owned as 'that poorly-built, unreliable German piece of sh!t'.

Not the typical terms I'd use to describe a Porsche. It is annoying though. My dealer will top off as well - but its not totally convenient to do.
My first 997 Turbo (gen 1) for the first 3000 miles needed some oil every now and then. But then it stopped.
I'm at 7,500+ miles and was told this would stop at 5,000.
Are you guys using synthetic oil?? Someone suggested that but want not sure.
I am using 50 weight already.
