Intermittent whining noise in 2006 Cayenne

Intermittent whining noise in 2006 Cayenne
My wife's 2006 Cayenne has an intermittent whining noise that appears to originate in the front and will start at almost any speed. The noise will decrease when the the car slows down.

Since it is intermittent it is hard to nail down but it actually happened with the Porsche tech in the car, trouble is he didn't know what is was either.

Any ideas or thoughts?

my buddy's 06 touareg made a similar sound, turns out his driveshaft needed to be lubricated

Probably the gmack valve. It whines alot.
