I think it's funny how everybody was upset that they may never see a new car by Gemballa again, and now they finally are back, and everyone is throwing up.

Be careful what you wish for...

Personally, I think it's ugly, but I'm glad to see Gemballa's back to doing what they do best- ruin Porsches, although this one isn't too bad compared to some of their previous creations.

Is it safe to say that this Gemballa SUV is marketed towards the M.E. and Asian markets more so then N.A and E.U.?

Andreas Schwartz, CEO of the new Gemballa GmbH, has worked very hard on improving the performance, handling and driveability of the Cayenne.
He's not a marketing guy like Uwe, he's a hard-core technical guy with a passion for performance. He drives a McLaren SLR for fun and has committed his personal fortune to the success of the new Gemballa.

I personally think the black/white color combination is all wrong for the US market. In two-tone black or black/charcoal, the car looks very cool, at least to my eyes.

HOWEVER, according to Andreas, the car has sold VERY well in white since last week's intro. So, guess what my opinion's worth-nada.
Next week there will be a color engine installed on Gemballa's German website. You will be able to tweak the Tornado to see how the car looks in other color combinations.

I suggest we welcome the new Gemballa back into the Porsche performance world. I suspect there will be some really exciting new stuff coming for the 997 platform. And whether or not you like how they look, these Gemballa machines have always been a blast to drive.
With a performance enthusiast like Andreas Schwarz at the helm, you can be sure the magic will return.
