As the owner of many yellow cars, I am buy cars for MYSELF, not the guy a few years down the line.
And it's not necessarily true. A manual Volvo V70R with manual has good resale because it is so impossibly rare.

GTS was available as a M/T- apparently there are a lot available on the secondary market.
