Three recalls

Just had my first oil change on my 2010 Panamera 4S. The service manager told me that there are three recalls out on the car. They are software updates for the PSM system (suspension) and a software update for the engine/PDK management systems as well as a fix to some drain plugs along the front of the windshield to improve water drainage. They are not urgent and the car is not unsafe to drive without them but they should be done at the next routine service. Unfortunately, they take 2-3 hours to do and I will have to make another service appointment for this work. Anyone know any additional details on this or had these done? Notice any differences?

Sammydtd is an unknown quantity at this point
My Pannie 4S went into service and I had more software updates done..

They also updated the auto/start stop function so that if you activate the system after you have come to a stop the engine will turn itself off (it wouldn't turn off before)

They also fixed the seatbelt problem.

Hope this helps

I just had my S in for it's 2nd oil change and they did a few minor updates to the PCM. I am wondering if I don't have something going on with the engine. I hear a slight knocking sound while idling..they've checked it out and said nothing is wrong. It didn't used to make that noise. I'm going through a quart of oil every 2,000 mi. Anyone else notice high oil consumption?

KT- yes the Porsche V8s are oil thirsty. Keep an eye on it though....knocking or like a 'tick tick tick tick tick tick tick'?

You said 2nd oil change? How many miles are on it??

Funny, non Porsche people say it's not normal, but I've heard what you said before.

It's definitely a knocking. I've got 18.6K on it.

Don't listen to 'non Porsche' people when concerning a PORSCHE

Well, had the service recalls done, except for the front windshield drain repair as they didn't have the part (why they didn't have it, or why they didn't tell me and spare me the 45 mile drive up there for the APPOINTMENT I made days ago they really couldn't tell me). I notice no real differences, except that a day later, I got PSM and All Wheel Drive fault messages on start up that were gone on start up a few hours later, never had that before the "update". One step forward two steps back....
