Just got back from Testing the new Cayenne Turbo and S @ Barber Motorsports Park

Stoppie and I just got back from Barber and got quite a bit of knowledge regarding options, especially the technical ones(PTV and others)...

Got some great seat time VS. the BMW M SUVs, ML63 and some whoop di doo Range Rover.

In addition to driving on the incredible race track we did some Rallying of the Cayenne S w standard/Pasm and Air-Pasm...

Being away from work does not allow for me to give a full documented recap.

Ask away and we can chime in on suggestions and recommendations.

Casey

Aside from technical options, will there be cosmetic options (i.e. Turbo-look) on the Cayenne and Cayenne S? I am strongly considering a Cayenne variant if my wife decides to keep my GTI instead of getting a new car.

Not as far as I can tell. They had a very decked out S with just about every exclusive option on it... but if you are looking to make a "GTS" it does not appear anything is available.

Bummer... The "regular" Cayennes are rather tame-looking. Would I be better off getting a 2010 GTS instead?

Chris checkout a RR Sport Supercharged, much better than pre facelift model.

I am considering the RRSS too. My wife told me to get the RRSS since "Range Rover does off-road trucks, Porsche does sports cars!" I married wisely.

I just love the GTS - I test-drove one and it was a lot of fun. Price between a CPO GTS and a CPO RRSS should be pretty close.

The Range was pretty fast and decent in the turns(when equipped with the hydro rear sway bar) but overall wasnt overly impressed... They are def more expensive than a cayenne though.
