Lightbulb Panamera SportDesign Aerokit, and Powerkit Panamera Turbo Discovered on Configurator

I was just browsing the 3D version of the international Porsche Configurator, when I came across two new options that really stood out to me. The first one, available for all of the Panamera models, is a new "SportDesign Package". This new package from Porsche is already seen on European Configurators, but has still yet to be announced. Since it's not on the American Configurator, I'm putting my bets on that this won't be available in America. The new package consists of a new front apron, some new skirts, and all bottom half exterior trim finished in the exterior color. If this package is brought to America, it will cost about $ 3,500. Here is a description found on the Porsche Configurator.

Comprises new front apron and new side skirts. Paint finish in exterior colour. Note: available from approx. 10/2010

The next option that stood out to me was a new "Powerkit Panamera Turbo". This up rates engine power to 540hp, and is only available for the Panamera Turbo. If Porsche introduces a Panamera Turbo S, it will probably come standard with this kit, paddle shifters, and PCCB's. If you want this kit, expect to pay around 16K. Here is Porsche's description of the kit.

Power upgrade to 397 kW (540 hp). Modifications include exhaust turbocharger with new turbine wheels in titanium/aluminium, modified engine management and brake cooling, new engine-bay styling with throttle valve cover including badge in carbon, titanium coloured intake system with inlays in carbon and silver turbo logo as well as Sport Chrono Package Turbo (order. no. 640). Note: available from approx. 09/2010

Other options were less noticeable, such as new sport wheels, in silver, black, or exterior color, and further performance options such as sport exhausts, or a new exhaust system. Here is a picture from the 3D Configurator with the sport wheels in black, and the sport design package.

Yeah ... An updated front. That's what that car needs to look good.

I'd love to meet the man who came up with that brilliant idea.

Oh, an I'm childish. I make a sophisticated post about a car, and you say this...

brilliant for what it is, Porsche can charge money for a new bumper design on a less-than-year old car that suppose comes in when a facelift comes in few years. just brilliantly smart, LOL!

The new front bumper rocks. Notice there is no amber corner lights that are required on US cars. I suspect sun coast could still get it for US customers. Now for the power upgrade.... Wonder if they will offer that for 2010 cars? Another smart idea from Porsche, another expensive upgrade.

CorruptedSanity is an unknown quantity at this point
I like the new bumper.

Is the Turbo version different than the 4S version?
