LOL. The wiring harness in my 911 weighs 24 lbs. Crazy how far we've come.

The technology has actually grown by quite a bit, especially with the addition of CAN-bus and LIN-bus networking. And really, it's amazing that the harness is built so perfectly. All zip ties, snap downs, grommets and other tethering devices are all preinstalled in the perfect locations, connectors are all exactly where they need to be, and by being built to VIN, it eliminates wiring for options the car "could have" had.

Did you weight the car by any chance once you removed all the interior bits? I always thought a Cayenne Spec racing class would be really fun. HA.

Ha no I would have liked to haave weighed each component as it came out, the carpets are very heavy as well with all of the foam backing and insulation. I was referring to this car around the shop as the "Cayenne S Superleggera" I would not be surprised if there were upwards of ~500-600lbs removed between front seats, rear seat bottoms/backs, carpeting, dash, metal reinforcement behind dash, trim, headliner, etc. Not including the wires themselves, since I put that 64lbs back in the car!
