Panamera Turbo pics
#7
MY CTT lease ended in July and as a replacement I ordered a 750LI with X Drive and M Sport. The 7 arrived on Saturday and I figured I owed to myself to check out the Panamera before I made a final decision. A local dealer had a "launch" party on Saturday and they had a Basalt/Black TT with RS Spider wheels and a Yachting Blue/Cream with 19s. I was kind of disappointed trhey didn't have the Grey/Tan Launch 4S bevcause this is the car I was most interested in.
The Pan is definately a car that looks better in certain colors/wheel options. In black it is not a bad looking car (the front is gorgeous, but from the side, the rear door/hatch looks awkward, even ugly). However, in blue and with the 19s, it looked hideous (the wheels are way to small). I have to say the interior was gorgeous and the rear leg/headroom was on par with the S class and 7 series, although the center console does make it feel narrower. The materials and build quality (doors closed beautifully) were well above any current Porsche and on par with the other German marks. My conclusion, if you want a 4 door 911 or coupe (CLS), buy this. Otherwise, if you want a sedan, go with the S or 7. In the end, that's what I decided to do.
