Saw the Panamera Today (Perfect spec)

In my opinion, it sits much lower in person, and looks better. Kind of has a CLS type feel . . .

Additionally, a 6'5" guy can fit in the back if the seats up, when the front seats back, my knees were on the seat backs. I am 6'2". So unless they're making two different versions of the Panamera, it's going to depend on where the front seat is and I want to take a closer look at ours to see the difference in seating positions up front. Not trying to rain on anyone's parade, just sayin.

Great car, the rear end kills it for me...

I don't get why it is so hard for you to get why everyone compares it to the QP? They are two premium luxury sleds in a close price range from two different marques. They both claim to have great driving feel and powerful engines. One is Italian and has a certain style and sound about it and the other German with a different style and sound. They both claim to be great driving feel cars and I can only speak for the QP and say it does this very well. But I have to imagine the Panamera will be just as good if not better. So why shouldn't these cars be compared?
and my 6,5" claim was simply based on another member who had been the car saying he was that tall and fit with room to spare.

In response to your other comment, it's not hard for me to "get". I understand the price point comparison, I don't understand the car to car comparison necessarily. What do I know though.
You have two totally different designs. That said, a Panamera S is not going to be compared to a QP, because of the disparity in the price point - I'd bet there's a 30k difference in price. The 4S and the Turbo are AWD; in my market, or any market that gets snow/ice that's going to change things. The body styles are different, I have a hard time considering the Panamera a sedan. The power is different between the Turbo and QP. I am betting the drive is quite different, considering how different the QP is from most other rear drive sedans.
The Panamera has an incredible interior, lots of power, great fit and finish. As does every other Porsche. The Maserati is more exotic. Set a Panamera next to a QP and tell me which one has more visual impact. The Maserati is just special, period. The Porsche is awesome but next to an Italian car it's not nearly as special. They are badass and they will sell like every Porsche, but I guarantee there is not similar exclusivity nor are there similar sensory qualities to the Maserati.
Hopefully this sheds some light on where I'm coming from.

I see what you mean and I hope no offense was taken when I made the "get" remark. I totally didn't mean it in that way but can see that it could have been read that way. My fault man. I see what you mean when you talk about parking the Pan next to the QP but that is the thing that happens with every Porsche. Park a Turbo next to a 360, gently used 430 or Gallardo and some might say that anyone who buys the Turbo is insane. Same here some might consider the Panamera to be the WTF were you thinking buy next to a QP but others see the light in Porsche and love it. I don't know different opinions of thought I guess...Cheers

Word. I don't mean to rain on anyone's parade. I just have looked at the two of them together for a few days now. There's just so different to me. As you say, it's going to come down to preference, Porsche people are Porsche people, and so on. Hey, for $100-160k, you got options
