A gentleman had his briefcase stolen from his feet at a popular Moscow hotel. Within 2mins of discovering it was taken ( not long after it was taken ) the hotel was in lock down ( if you knew the hotel, impressive effort ). The head of the gentlemans security team says " we will get a call within 2 hours, but they don't know who they are messing with. " Sure enough, the call comes, they want $100k usd for the briefcase, and they will talk about the laptop ( which was also taken ) when that transaction is handled.

The next day they had both the briefcase and laptop back, no money changed hands.

Thats how you do business in Russia baby!
