Panamera out on the streets ...

Hi guys,
The Panamera was presented at the Geneva Motorshow. At least on the parking. You'll find other real life angles on the last update of my website Arthomobiles
scroll down the geneva 2009 page
Not sure you'll like it so much though

Personally, it feels like Porsche is two different companies. You have the one part which produces the classic, tactile porsche experiences we see in the gt-models, suede steering wheels, the discreet design updates and the silent confidence....
Then there's the new Porsche that takes every possibility to capitalize on hype and makes weak interpretations of the porsche heritage. Examples of that are the Cayenne, skirts and sports packages and now most recently the Panamera.

Difference is the first Porsche keeps true to heritage and values, while the other actively targets markets trends and generic consumer demand. That leads to decadent, slightly vulgar cars with little true purpose or focus. Don't get me wrong... I'm sure the Panamera is an excellent car - but inhmo - it's just too bad it has a Porsche badge on it.

Mercedes did the same thing and now look at them.... Porsche is going in the wrong direction. They are putting their name on a VW to make a buck. They even put VW engines in the Cayenne.... The Panamera should have been a mid engine 4 seater with the horizontal opposed engine from the 911.
