True, I never driven one on a track, but I have driven new generation and old generation boxster S. It is a fun car to drive, but always felt like it's entry level for those who can't get a carrera s cab. Also, where I live I see a lot of women driving them. Regardless, it was merely humor, next time I will add this and

Boxster on a track is a blast. Even on the street they are fun.

I knew you were joking and it was funny. Im guilty of saying chixter lol

Doesnt feel entry level at all though. If power is the only thing that dictates entry level then yeah I guess. Porsche cant afford to design a much different car. There basically the same cars minus engine placement

Seriously... Well over 80% of Boxster drivers are male... compare that with less than 40% for the TT, Z4 and SLK. Porsche's aren't for girls.

I can hardly wait for the new Boxster - I'm absolutely certain this car will blow our minds! Considering how well Porsche managed to evolve the 911, the new Boxster will not let us down. I would assume 330hp from the 3.4l engine, and a slight weight reduction. This paired with increased width (just like the new 911) which likely reduces understeer, bodes well.

As for the girl-car debate, it's getting really old. 90% of people who claim the Boxster not to be a real Porsche has hardly ever driven one, hence it's just ridiculous. Without turning this into a 911 vs Boxster debate - as I really love both models equally, there is certainly a reason why Porsche decided to use a mid-engined layout in the Carrera GT and 918 Spyder. Furthermore, the new 991 was moved toward a mid-engine design.

Here's a Boxster S on coilovers and Yokohama A048's lapping the 'Ring in 7.53 BTG btw.
