PTS Available for Boxster Spyder/Cayman R
At least on Porsche's Configurator. As expected, it costs $5,500.
But, there is a bit of a problem. It's a requirement to get the interior trim strip painted in the exterior color, even with PTS, and in conjunction with PTS, it costs $9,999! So if the Configurator is correct, it will cost about $15k for PTS!
Other updates with the Configurator include a new Inapema Blue exterior color, you can now get silver wheels on the GTS, and Natural Brown, Terracotta, and Cocoa interior colors have all been replaced by Espresso, but Leather to Sample is available.
Dealer, please confirm or deny the Configurator as it is not always accurate.

That dateline is just for Boxster Spyders. Frankly, we don't yet know what that portends. Is Spyder production ending earlier than expected (e.g. not going into the Fall and Winter?). Cayman R PTS is not restricted to be finalized by tomorrow's date, for example. Saludos, z356

As for the $9999 charge, it's a error (PNCA confirmed).
I'm in the middle of approval process as are a couple others on rennlist. As z356 stated, the Boxster Spyder deadline is Friday, March 25th! The order window was eight days. All other models do not have a set deadline as of yet. I agree with z356, that this could possibly mean the end of production for the 987 Spyder.

On the Configurator, it just the option for preparation. When you actually submit the order to Porsche is when you provide a paint code.

Oh ok, so that means you can't choose a colour in the configurator that you want your car to be displayed in?
