cayman as a trackcar at PCA events
#5
At this track, yes. Our cars are actually pretty close weight to power wise and at this particular track, a light, mid-engined car has a very sweet advantage that many heavier cars dont have. Also, LRP has a very short straight, so where my turbo shines, the track didnt give. That and Joel was a phenomenal driver. BUT...if you look at that pic, I was behind the cayman, and pulled to the outside...so I was actually gaining there...but IIRC, he was able to hold me off till a little bit later when I passed him under braking into a very fast sweeping right hand turn (big bend).

yeah ernie J from mantis sport campaigned one last year and dominated his class (old C?D?)... (and may be doing so this year IDK, but he did have the car for sale at one time)
he ran custom Leda shocks with other bolt on mods I believe (PS pulley, slump extension, and etc)... go to caymanclub and read, read, and read... a lot of track knowledge is accumulating about the 986 and 987's now...
