US laws... Though most of us change our sidemarkers to clear like the Euros.

I figured it was a law, but was looking for the rational behind it.

 

There are a bunch of US-specific laws which is why we can't have the Clubsport package with a cage, fixed carbon seats (no airbags), and Lexan windows, why we can't have lowered suspensions (headlights have to be a certain height from the ground), why many of our cars are speed-limited lower than the rest of the world (because most cars require all-season tires), etc. etc. It's very annoying. It's also a big reason a lot of other manufacturers don't sell cars here.
