Cayman motor gets a face lift. A must see!

Hey guys, I had a customer who I have been doing a very long a crazy detail for and I thought I would share this with you. One of the things done was we removed engine carpet cover, then the heat shield. Once I got the motor all cleaned and degreased, I painted some pieces. I painted some pieces and made the top half look like the rotors. Then we added some LED"S and laid down a custom glass engine cover. I figured you all would like it so I thought I would share it with you. I ad seen another detaier in texas do this, and once mapped out We got it down. Enjoy!

Removing the heat shield,

The motor was real dirty!

Here is the owner and I checking out the custom glass cover as it came in.

I mounted a toggle switch under the ebrake at a point where cheaper piece of panelling could be replaced if the owner sells in the future.

The end result! Pretty sick huh.

I wanted to thank Anthoney Orosco for giving me the idea! Thought you all may like this. Enjoy

Looks cool BUT, I vote rice. To each his own. It will get way more positive comments than negative ones. Great job though looks done really well!

Oh man Barry --- looks AWESOME!

Guys, i know this will be a hate it or love it thing - but i have always loved the clear engine bonnets on mid engine cars and wanted to do something a little different. Without the lights on (obv the lights make it a little "Aftermarket" looking) it will so clean and smooth in person i think it will look like it came right from Porsche this way.

MAJOR PROPS to Presidential Details for the work and attention to 'detail'

Stay tuned for more.....

Johnny, thanks for the comment and LOVE your avatar man. Sick pic

Ye i am thrilled with this so far. The motor matches the seat backs and the calipers. The lights are just a cool feature that i can turn on and off right from my seat and show off if i want (would i ever do that?! ) or just cruise along like any other Cayman.
