Post Control It for you : 2008 Porsche RS 60 Spyder pricing announced

"Porsche is displaying the RS 60 Spyder, which is ready to go on sale tomorrow, at the 2008 New York Auto Show. The 2008 Porsche Boxster RS 60 Spyder pays tribute to the legacy of the original RS 60 with style and substance.

Power comes from a 3.4L mid-mounted engine that delivers 303-hp and 251 lb-ft of torque. 0-60 comes in at 5.1 seconds with at top speed of 170mph. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission with a five-speed Tiptronic S automatic as an option.

The new 2008 Porsche Boxster RS 60 Spyder goes on sale tomorrow in the U.S. with a MSRP of $64,900. Only 1,960 will be built which coincides with the 1960 12-Hours of Sebring won by the 550 Spyder Type 718 RS60."

Did you see it at Javit's?

I am going next week..I saw an RS60 today in Silver/Black.,.seems over priced and not enough to really earn the RS badge but I'll bet it's sweet as hell..

I am thinking Limited Edition S Orange...

It's cool in person, but I would take the LE orange if getting a Boxster any day over it, or Cayman S hands down!

Not a fan of the orange LE. At all. The RS60, however, I like. Very classy.

I'm with you. I went to look at the Orange Boxster recently because it is a color that I'm considering on my next car. It's beautiful in person with a few nice orange trim pieces on the interior.

I'm just not digging the Carrera Red interior on the Boxster 'RS'.

I really like the red interior. I'm glad Porsche kept true to the original. Can't wait to see one in person.
