Baby Boxster
I have a 2005 Boxster that was the first real sports car that I owned after getting out of school. I really don't drive it a lot so it's purely a weekend warrior to play with when it's nice in Connecticut.
Now that I've had it for a couple of years, I'm at a crossroads - should I do some modifications or trade it for something with more power? I really like the car so if there was a way to extract a little more power - even if it was only seat hp; I would be a happy man.
Any thoughts?

There are many mods you can do to the Boxster to get more hp. But it seems like a bad investment.
That car will have very little sell/trade value and you never recoup your money in mods when you decide to move on.
I say get what you can out of it and pick up something new.

Making changes to the car would be an interim step to satisfy my urges while I save up for a C4S (2 yrs away). When I got the car, I really wasn't into performance/power. I just thought it was a good "value". Now, I find myself paying attention to details such as when I'm shifting, the tach, etc. I knew I had changed the day I turned off the radio to listen to the engine.
I probably won't trade the car because I a) it will be a fun car to mess around in and b) the resale will depress me.

Welcome to the Team !
If you are looking for something with more power you maybe should trade it in for a E46 M3 ? The depression of the resale will go away the first time you go up all the way to the redline in the M3

Probably not one of my brightest moves but I had the Fabspeed Performance package installed a couple of weeks ago. Between the seat horsepower from the chip and the sound of the exhaust, it feels like a new toy. I can tell I that this is going to be a slippery slope...
