DIY Red taillight film

DIY Red taillight film
Difficulty rating from 1 to 10. This is a 3 with a little patience.
Tools you will need:
Protective Film Kit precut from InCarElectronics a local shop $60
heat gun
squeegee
microfiber cloth
spray bottle
Olfa blade
water,rubbing alcohol, clear dishwasing liquid
Clean the taillight with a solution of 50/50 water and 70% rubbing alcohol and 1 tablespoon of dish washing liquid.

Peel the film from the protective paper and spray generously with solution. Also spray the tailight.

Place it on the headlight, it will look like its too big and will never fit, this is where you need some patience. Hold one side down while you use the squeegie to push out the water. This will look impossible because it will probably slide around alot.

If it wont stay in place use the heat gun on a low setting to help the solution evaporate a little.

You may have to hold down the edges while giving it a little heat to help it stretch out and stay down.

Once you've got it to stay down the edges will require you to hold them down for about 30 seconds to keep it to lay flat. By now you should be done.

The reverse lights are not as bright as the factory tequipment red set. I do not have tinted windows and have found them to still be bright enough.
