What is in question on the other forum, is that its the Softronic software giving you the gains. Not the X51 manifold.

BBI knew this going into the work they did on my car. Which is why they didn't do an X51. No real gains to be had. With the 997 intake manifold we gained 9HP to the wheels - on the same software (but BBI have since tweaked software since then).

No need to paint. No clear engine cover.

thats good you found that the 997 gains hp without software. yeah the x51 has to have software, so much air, doing internals and injectors next.

So in summary, take your car to Betim @ BBI for the most bang for your buck.

X51 Intake = 8-12HP ~ $2,000 (before the price of software to make it add any power)
997 Intake = 9HP = $345.

definitely not knocking your mod, I wish I would have known about it, way less than half the price of the X51.

scwheeler is an unknown quantity at this point
Sounds great.

I would also be keen for any figures/dyno's, as I've been keeping an eye out since first dyno graph back in Feb
