BBI Test with latest and exclusive live tuned software and 82mm IPD plenum.
We have been working with Powerchip Group to build a tune for the Cayman S to take advantage of the 82mm compilation plenum and t-body. We spent hours doing a live tune on the dyno and logging data on the street. We are pleased with the results. Stay TUNED for the results on our BBI Cayman exhaust. After that we are going to do a LWFW from Aasco with sport clutch kit from sachs, that will also get put on the dyno. We will keep you posted on every mod and ddyno result we do. Also we are going to try something new for the 3.4, We will post pictures and results when it done.

Betim,
Wow!!! your Powerchip tune with the IPD Cayman Competition Plenum shows an increase over the Softronics SRP & 4.1 of aprox. 25ft/lbs of torque @ 4350 Rpm and 20Hp @ 6400 Rpm. Thanks for the dynos showing the power increases that can be achieved with Powerchip & IPD combo.

I can vouch for the fact that Powerchip programs a great ECU. I have one in my car and it is really fast and aggressive. I had never heard of Powerchip before having my Turbo modified by BBI. I am very happy with their product.

Hello Betim,
Every time I see a dyno testing done with the IPD Race Plenum w/ 82mm Throttle Body I am always impressed with the way it makes horsepower and torque regardless of the software used. However I am particularly impressed by how you eliminated the HP dip usually seen around 5,300 RPM. I think your Powerchip tune may create the best output I've seen to date (of course one should keep in mind that one dyno vs. another on one day vs. another makes an exact comparison difficult).
I also found it interesting how your pull utilizing the SRP and Softronic 4.1 yielded only a slight increase in torque and HP compared to a stock (no modifications) Cayman S! You can see this if you print this stock Cayman S dyno run found at this link Stock Cayman S on Dyno Dynamics dyno - The Cayman Club and compare it to yours.
Please keep this variety of objective, analytical and scientific information flowing...competition indeed improves the breed!
Regards,
Joe

This is BBi's thread regarding their R&D. If you are not happy with the results just share them so they can discuss toward resolution. You can't just come in blurb out a thing without thinking further ahead, you must very young or really dumb.
