Following the tradition of the former 911 models, the Boxster will soon be available as a Speedster, featuring a dome behind each headrest plus a lower windshield and a modified canvas hood. The Speedster variant looks to be wearing unique wheels as well as a few extra aero bits. Under the bonnet, we expect the car to get the engine of the Boxster S Porsche Design Edition 2, developing 303 horsepower. No word on when we might see the production version of the Boxster Speedster, but with the standard car’s unveiling just weeks away, we don’t expect the Speedster to stay under wraps for long.

Had to put the humps in so they had room to stuff the GT3 motor in it..... OOOOPS that was just in a dream.

 

I liked it on the 986 when it was a tequipment option, very nice and differentiated.
