Congrats Alex - Sharkwerks to be featured again in European Car
#14
I've driven this Cayman S quite a bit. I drove it back to back with my car, and some other wonderful 911s as well. I must say, this car makes me question the whole 911 thing a bit. I've driven other Cayman S cars, even tuned ones. I never 'got it'. But these guys know how to set up a car. The owner has a gem. I ranted about how good this car was on 6speed, and I've refrained from so much of a rant here. But guys, this car drives incredibly, it rotates on its nose, it is very 'happy' feeling (really, joyful, whereas my car is brutal/thrilling). I don't know about you guys, but joyful is good. It was great at speeds, it was great on backroads. I feel like Alex and James just have some kind of 'Special Sauce' there that makes things RIGHT.
After stepping out of it one time after a spirited drive, I asked one of the guys with me, "How much are these things going for in the used car market?" I was told "Mid thirties all day long."
My response: "What? I'd rather have one of these and only one testicle than a 350Z!"
This car made me a believer. If you have $60k to spend on a car, get a used Cayman S and send it to Sharkwerks. No doubt.
I felt that the car needed one thing, a limited slip. I hear that the new owner already has that covered!
Beautiful! Oh, and congrats, too!
