Manheim check: Rolls Royce Phantom values

This guy i know who works in Insurance, told me that early Rolls Royce Phantoms can be had for $70k-$90k at the auctions?
Not that i am in the market for one, just want to see if his claim is correct.

What about the early years Bentley GT's?

Just get a pickup truck. People will think it's a Bentley Continental GT anyway.

lol i wish

but seriously, i found it hard to believe that a $400k+ car could be trading at those prices at auctions.

Can someone confirm?

ha ha!
I agree to some extent, Continental GTs in "conservative colors" (gray, black, silver) look like everyday cars on the road.

I don't see any '03s but '04s have not dipped below $100k on MMR

The argument stemmed from seeing a Phantom and i said "recession who?? ..." , he said "you can find those for around $70k right now at auctions"...

I know of a guy that picked up a relatively low mileage '04 for 107k and that was the lowest I had ever heard of. Not adding much to the conversation, but as previously stated, your insurance guy was misinformed. Maybe a CRASHED Phantom could be had for 70k, after all he is in the insurance field...

I saw a maybach go for 85k at auction a month ago, guess that's the same as a phantom? (car had less than 1k miles).

Maybe taxes still had to be paid though.
