Spied: 2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed
Fully undisguised and ready for Frankfurt

Our trusty Teamspeed spies catch the final testing shots of the new Bentley Continental GT. Here are the fully undisguised photos as we head into the Frankfurt show next month. Featuring a few sportier aesthetic additions, the new Continental GT still retains the elegant look we have come to expect from the British coach-builder.

As reported recently by Car and Driver, under the hood we will find the 6.0-liter W-12 from the current GT mated with Bentley's all-wheel-drive system. The 12-cylinder engine produces an extra 15 hp and 37 lb-ft of torque and 567 hp and 516 lb-ft. But the big news is the expected arrival of a turbocharged, 4.0-liter V-8 installed in a new entry-level GT and GTC which will produce around 475hp.

With less weight this one will also be more fuel efficient than the current GT on sale now. Inside we can find new seats and an updated dash with a new sat navigation system. We don't expect these to be the wheel and tire set up on the production model.

Could be anything. Test vehicles are loaded with comm gears.

The car looks unchanged from current one in show room. The V8 will be a big hit that will resonate with current buyers I think. Newer nav already? They just improved it in 2012 model. That's great news. I hope to pick up one of the first gen as a daily next year.

I don't follow bentely much. Didn't they just overhaul this last year? I am not sure what they are unveiling, just a new model year? Either way, this one looks much better than the old one from the front. The rear, I like the old one!

This is the SPEED version. The standard GT is allready on the market, not to mention on the streets. We have allready3 in Bucharest. The differences in the Speed version are:
- the new front bumper style
- the new design of the exhaust tips (S65 AMG style)
- the new rear bumper style

This is how much i distinguish from these pictures.

Of course the engine must be something powerfull than the normal GT.

By the time the speed comes out and reaches clients, we will see pictures of test camouflage Bentley Contenental SuperSport Coupe

Good eye, thanks for the clarification. Maybe a title change is in order?

I won't link to our story, but according to a registration check this isn't the GT Speed but the new Continental GT V8.

To clarify; is this just a face lift? Or is it an actual completely brand new chassis with new power plant?
