Spied: Next Generation Range Rover
Under the striped camouflage lies the next "Ultimate Luxury SUV"

Our Teamspeed spies catch the new generation Range Rover during hot weather testing in Southern Europe today. The new Range Rover and the development of it, is rather important for Land Rover considering the upcoming Land Rover Discovery and Range Rover Sport will be based on the same platform as well.

Rumors are that the new platform is a modified Jaguar XJ platform that has been strengthen on vital places to make sure the off-road capabilities will remain top of the line. The new Range Rover is also said to be much lighter than the current one, thanks to more aluminum used on both chassis and body.

Power will come from both diesel and petrol engines known from the current line-up, even if slightly upgraded, and there will also be two hybrid versions. This means that the Range Rover will be available both as diesel hybrid and as petrol hybrid when it will be official in late 2012 or early 2013.

 

Does anyone else find humor in the fact that no matter what they do, they CANT hide the fact that it's a RR? LOL

Haha seriously, that is some of the most serious camo I have seen. BMW usually just puts a crazy wrap on. RR road presence is epic.

looks like they are changing the front rake, more of an angle compared to the lasted RR that is out now.
