^ I like your better, I am not a fan of the black parts elevating the head lights. The old ones are perfect..

I DO want a defender though

Impossible. DOT airbag regulations stipulate that the steering wheel has to be a certain distance from the windscreen. In a Defender the steering wheel is like 2 inches away from the windscreen and there's no way they can change this setup without completely reengineering the car.

I thought it all had to do with Land Rover not wanting to conform to the Airbag and Crash test issues.

My steering wheel is a foot from the windshield I think? HMMM Now you have me wondering.

With regards to the steering wheel- would a tilt option not swing it down and farther from the windsheild?
