Range Rover Valentine1 Hardwired Install?

I found this thread for installing a Valentine1 in a Ranger Rover Sport:

RangeRovers.net • View topic - Hardwiring a radar detector

Anyone know of a similar thread for a 2011 Range Rover? I don't have a green-striped wire in my overhead console.

On the plus side, I absolutely LOVE the thing and the folks at Land Rover Huntington made buying the beast SO easy!

slykmr is an unknown quantity at this point
Should have something similar. All you need to do is find a switched power source. If I recall that green wire was for the mirror in my 2008 RRS SC. Try and see what wires lead towards the mirror and not the ones that lead towards the sunroof.

I've seen installation much more discrete etched in the rearview mirror.

Good advice. Will have time to "dig" next weekend. I'll report back...

I like keeping the unit on the window. The etched installs and hidden installs of the Valentine1 tend to reduce the range. As I learned this AM driving the Scuderia to the Hamptons -- you want ever second at "faster" speeds...
