It is a second generation, not a facelift, the tech is almost all-new. Two years ago it was told that design of Continental will not be changed radically, only mild changes.

I wonder why they don't change the optics.
I don't mind it but I'm sure a lot of people want a completely new design. If they are already putting so much energy in redesigning everything below the body why not also make some nice touches on the outside?

at least now you can comfortably pick up a a used model and save yourself serious coin without worrying about an "old body style"

This must be a German attempt at humor, right?

I mean it's not like the current Conti GT is some kind of 'iconic design' which is best left untouched.

Plus it looks even more like a beached whale than the current model in the last pic, hardly an improvement.
