Even though I`m a car nut I would not have realized that this is a new CGT unless someone told me about it

why do US people hate Diesel so much?

there are good things to a Diesel as well..even in a fine Bentley
one could drive to Italy or Switzerland without having to stop every other minute and it delivers great torque virtually at idle revs

i sold my 2007 CGT for a 2008 lambo gallardo spyder however...

i was hoping for a more aggressive restyling of the CGT

the worst angle imho was the rear 3/4 view the car just didn't look right

this new styling makes the CGT look more like a sedan... what happened to the aggressive fender flares and rear haunches?

if i wanted a Bentley that looked like a sedan there is the Flying Spur... the CGT is supposed to be much more sporty

so i guess i am in the minority but i don't like it... i don't hate it either... it's just plain vanilla to me

Hard to improve on the current Cont. GT. Such a muscular and refined shape. I hope the redesign above retains the creases that the article mentions may be gone. The carved flanks from fenders and back are classic.

Have recieved some information - the style changes will be only evolutional, customers do not want Bentley to change body style completely. Interior will be completely new and much more bespoke than on the first generation, more like Mulsanne, because Bentley is building its own style today. The main part on changes is chassis and body. There are rumors that this car will use a new aluminium body and aluminium chassis from brand new A8 instead of old and very heavy VW platform, all this should make car some 200 kg lighter. Engine is rumored to be 6.3 W12 bi-turbo with base of engine taken from next generation A8 W12 that is going to make debut at Beijing auto show this month, expect this engine to be about 580 hp with E85 capability. That is all what I know at this moment.

I really like what they did with it so far. I really don't like the idea of a diesel though. Diesel engines are very well engineered these days, but I think they're still made with the underpinnings of economy and gas consumption in mind. The Bentley CGT stakes it's claim on excess, and a diesel engine is the opposite in my mind. This car should have a 580HP twin turbo V12 monster under the hood. Anything less would be undignified.

Well...there's no question...it could use far improved electronics and some weight savings but man I truly love mine...
