I would not want to be present, nor would I wish anyone to actually be there for that.

Oh lordy that was cool though.

I agree that second pass was extremely close. I am sure once pilot landed and watched the video he probably didn't even realize the wing tip got that close. There his no way he would any instrument on board that measures altitude from the wing tip to the ground. It was purely not his day.

gmaccormack is an unknown quantity at this point
Could it be a test flight not a air show? I find it hard to believe that a stunt like this would be acceptable at any air show.

I tried that on GTA San Andreas, and wiped out half of Las Venturas.

Nothing that special in what he did, just low level flying.... Most likely he turned off some of the EGPWS components.

Btw, whenever the landing gear is down in an A320 it automatically reverts to Direct Law which includes normal lift off till approx. 8seconds (Gear up time) and when you come to land normally after you are 100ft off the ground when the plane is in FLARE mode..

You can never get Direct Law while you are in air, only ALTN law.. The only time it goes to Direct is when the gear is down.

Hm. I thought the 310s had "Boeing mode" which is in effect direct law during gear up flight.
