Quote: No I think he backed out all together. Plus the perception of buying a plane during a down ecomoy: I think he's concerned with that. So he just sticks to boats.
Ahhh tell him to man up and buy a plane.

Uh huh. That would go over well; Me, an employee who can't buy a new Ferrari telling my boss to 'man up' and buy a plane.

Seriously. What is with the negative perception issues with planes. You said he stuck with boats. That's just a different hole to pour money down, and doesn't have nearly the ability to make his business money.

You're absolutely right. But to the general public (ie our employees who work in the office or in service) aren't aware of that.

You say 'boat' and everyone around cleveland has a boat. No biggie.

You say 'Plane' the local perception is entirely different. They think 'ohhh he's got the money to buy a plane? He ain't paying me enough'.

It's the way it is here in Cleveland.

It aint just Cleveland. Hell, TWO of my planes (and for some of you guys all three!) don't cost what ONE car of many of our members here cost, but the perception is there.

You should try being a contractor, working in an office with govt employees, and they find out you own not one, but three planes. Awkward.
