View from the cockpit on approach!

I sat in the jump seat on approach yesterday on the way back from a business trip. The video is a little boring but I can testify that Pilot's have the best view of any office in the world!

Great vid... thanks for sharing.

I have a Q , and it is one of those questions that you know it might be something really stupid but you need to ask anyways.....

That Hawker has already a glass avionics panel with all the goodies.... Why did they have a additional Garmin portable GPS??? Backup maybe....

Probably for the XM weather feed, but I'm curious to know that as well.

^ probably... the only thing I was making of it was as a backup in case of a electrical problem...

But Xm weather service sounds really good to. But aren't all these Glass cockpits come with XM as an option???

Most do...as an option. Consider in our DA-40, XM weather is a $5k upgrade to the G1000 avionics package. Or I can get it on the $$600 Garmin 496 mounted to the glare shield.

Very good question...I'll have to ask the specifics, but when our Pilot's ask for something (like they did this XM Weather unit), they get it.

All I know is that I get SiriusXM radio pumped through the sound system in the plane and I love it!

Not knowing much about planes, how far can you fly [safely] before having to refuel?

Can you do a CA to NY trip on 1 tank?
