OSHKOSH Pics/Vids

So, late on Wednesday night my father and I decided to head up to Oshkosh Wisconsin for the weekend to go to the Airshow. We left on Thursday afternoon and came back on Sunday night. Airventure has to be one of the greatest Airshows ever. I can remember going since I was a little kid when we used to Camp out under the wing of an 840 Turbo Commander my dad used to have. Lately we stay at Lake Geneva resort. The resort has a runway and we fly out every morning and fly back every evening.
This show was absolutely amazing, and I was excited to go back, especially since I missed the last two. I saw a bunch of great new planes like the Phenom 300, and a ton of LSA's.
I have to say, I'm very impressed with some of the LSA's like the CTLS and the Remos. Very comfortable and they seem like a blast to fly, I will know more on Friday as I have set up some demo flights.
This year was really special because it was the 75th Anniversary of the DC3, and it was the first time ever that they had a night airshow. That was the most amazing thing I have ever seen. You have to see that in person. I didn't film it, but I found videos already posted to youtube. The most amazing act was Matt Younkin and his Beech 18.
I wish I had taken more pics of the DC-3's, and other stuff, but I was so busy looking at them myself.
This is Matt Younkin's website: http://www.younkinair.com/index.html
Anyways, enjoy the pictures I took, and the videos I found.

An old Comanche, my father learned to fly on one of these:

Beechcraft Staggerwing, I love this plane:

A 1944 Navion. My father had one that was crushed during Hurricane Andrew. It's a great plane with a 300HP engine. It's a great plane to fly, and fast; it fly's at 180kts true. Many are restored and in great condition, this guy had a fairly nice panel in his.

Ford Trimotor passing by:

A replica French racer. Notice how narrow the cockpit is. Beautiful plane though.

The Phenom 300, a great looking jet. I love this thing, and it's got a great cockpit, and amazing features.

Inside a restored L-39 by Pride Aircraft from Rockford, Il

WWII camp:

Very fast and comfortable homebuilt, it's called the Raptor by Orion. Ugly paint scheme and interior color though.

This thing was really cool. It's a dune buggy that turns into a paraglider:

Jaber's ride:

Cessna 206 on Steroids:

A Cessna 340 with RR Turbo Prop. I have not seen one of these converted yet. This would be a great airplane to have and own.

Thanks!
I like the Honda Jet. It wont be out until 2014, but it's very nice. Honda has the money to make sure this becomes the best light jet in it's category. If I was between buying a CJ1+ a Phenom 100 or this, I would seriously consider the Honda Jet. It has things that the Phenom 100 has but the CJ1 doesn't, like Single point refueling, and an externally serviceable lav. It will have a better cabin than both since the engines are mounted on the wings. The performance will be about the same and so will the price. The Honda Jet will have a Garmin 3000 and that's great.
