Exclamation Crash: Jack Roush Crashes his Premier I

So last night at Oshkosh, Jack Roush landed very hard. I'm glad to know that he will be ok. I'm also interested in finding out what caused the accident. Here is an article with a video.

One of the guys I know who is there said it looked like he was attempting to abort the landing, a wing dropped, and then impact.

That's what I heard. Apparently there was some confusion during landing, then he pulled up to go around and didn't have enough speed/power and stalled onto the runway.

If you haven't landed at Airventure before you'd be surprised at how challenging it can be for some people. It's no walk in the park. I've flown in there many times, and I find it fun and exciting, but you have to be on your toes and at least 10 steps ahead of what is happening.

They're lucky to have survived.

"hard landing?" Yeah, I'd say a landing that splits the plane in half qualifies.

How old is Jack? I'm just sayin'. Might make sense for him to at least have a co-pilot with him . . .

There have been a number of incidents this week. Another was described to me as a "gentle mid-air".

We just closed a deal with him yesterday afternoon... Fortunately he is OK and in stable condition.

I've been in contact with some of his people this morning.
