Boeing all the way. I don't like airbus mainly because I don't like the idea of the plane pretty much always being on autopilot. In an airbus the computer is required to fly the plane and will interfere with a pilot's decisions. This can be a problem, and has caused problems before. The pilot should have the final say as to what goes on with the plane, not a computer because a computer cannot make the decisions based on all the conditions, it just makes decisions based on the way an airplane is set up.

Also, have you ever noticed that an Airbus is noisier inside than a boeing? You can hear everything move.

I like the philosophy of Airbus
to me it's a matter of how you consider the electronic devices and systems in these aircrafts
some feel that it overrides the pilots inputs and limits his control over the aircraft and other(like me) think that the whole idea of flight envelope protection,FADEC,auto this auto that etc,is great as long as you thoroughly understand how to command the computers and know how to work with them as an aid
of course there have been bad incidents but imo they were mostly caused by pilot error

oh and in the long run,Airbus will win....
The European Union is still granting subsidies for Airbus and won't be willing to stop it only because the US government does not support Boeing in the same way

Boeing. The 777 is the best airplane to fly on these days... plenty of overhead spaces, plenty of lavatories, wide aisles, etc. Lucky for me, most of my 777 trips are overseas, so I get to fly business class.

I'm starting my type-rating for the 319/320/321 in 2 weeks... Knowing how the system works on the Airbus.... I prefer Boeing, I LOVE their planes!

Having to pick between these two is a luxury. Come talk to me after you've flown in a Tupolev or Ilyushin.
