Thought ya'll might get a kick out of this. My buddy Andy has been modifying Lance Air Legacies for the reno races for the past 8 years... in between working on race planes he designed and built this little guy from scratch. 90% carbon fiber... empty weight with oil is just under 500lbs. It went for its first flight last weekend! He's planing on selling it as a kit.

That's a pretty cool little airplane.

 

Been following all of their updates. They had me at 155 knots @ 3 GPH. I hope they bring this thing up to Reno this year, would love to check it out.
