Congrats, I have the same plane and enjoy it immensely... I have the SVT and it is nice, but not a must have. Safe flying...

Congrats on the purchase. The 182 is a great plane. Especially paired with a G1000 and GFC-700. Put in the flight plan, adjust power, sleep, adjust power for decent, destination.

soo... That's what you guys do up there huh? Where's the actual effort in flying? Landing? Crosswinds?

Pretty easy to fly aircraft. (Especially with all the new gizmos)

Landing is pretty much like you learned except for the nose is a bit heavier. Max crosswind is like most other piston single GA aircraft.
