Citation Sierra Super S-II
So, I've known about this company for a while. My father knows the owner pretty well, and I have me him on occasion. We met him a while ago when looking for a Citation Eagle. Very nice guy, with a great company that pumps out an amazing product. We recently began to take much more interest in this when the Sierra Super S-II was announced. For those that don't know, Sierra industries "mods" jets. They make the airplanes go farther and faster, repaint, refurbish, and install new avionics.
The Citation S-II is a great airplane to begin with. Great to fly, and great performance numbers. It's also a relatively inexpensive airplane in today's market. At Sierra, they make it an even better airplane. They change out the Pratt and Whitney engines for the Williams FJ-44 turbines. This conversion enables the plane to make a straight climb to 430 in under 25 minutes, and an advertised range of 2,600 NM. A full conversion costs about $3million. Compare this to a CJ4 that costs $8million and only makes it 2,004 NM. Much better buy IMO.
Check it out at: Sierra Industries
